Don't let the pain of depression and anxiety keep you down.
I am specifically trained to work with people who have trauma related issues, Women's issues, career issues, phase of life issues, marriage and family issues, couples communication and EMDR. Disability related issues including physical, mental and emotional disabilities are also specialties of mine. Most recently this has included experiential therapy.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Individual counseling, also known as therapy or psychotherapy, is a form of mental health treatment that involves one-on-one sessions between a licensed therapist and a client. During these sessions, the therapist helps the client explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, identify patterns or issues that may be contributing to their difficulties, and develop coping strategies or solutions to address them. Individual counseling can help individuals work through a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, and more. It provides a safe and confidential space for clients to discuss their concerns and receive support and guidance from a trained professional.
FAMILY COUNSELING
Family counseling is a type of therapy that focuses on improving communication and resolving conflicts within a family unit. It can involve one or more family members and aims to help families understand and cope with issues such as stress, parenting struggles, communication breakdowns, and other challenges that may be impacting their relationships.
During family counseling sessions, a therapist may facilitate discussions, provide tools and strategies for resolving conflicts, and help family members develop healthier communication patterns. The goal of family counseling is to strengthen relationships, improve problem solving skills, and create a more supportive and cohesive family dynamic.
Family counseling can be beneficial for families experiencing various difficulties, such as divorce or separation, blended family challenges, mental health issues, substance abuse, and other stressors that may be impacting family functioning. By addressing these issues in a safe and supportive environment, families can work towards healing and building stronger relationships.

COUPLES COUNSELING
Couples counseling is a form of therapy aimed at helping couples improve their communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationship. A trained therapist works with both partners to identify and address issues that may be causing tension or strain in the relationship. Through guided discussions and exercises, couples can learn effective communication strategies, develop greater understanding and empathy for each other, and build a more solid foundation for their relationship. Couples counseling can be beneficial for couples at any stage of their relationship, whether they are experiencing difficult challenges or simply want to enhance their connection and intimacy.
EQUINE ASSISTED COUNSELING
Equine Assisted Counseling is a therapeutic approach that incorporates horses into the counseling process. This type of therapy can be beneficial for individuals struggling with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
During equine assisted counseling sessions, clients work with a licensed therapist and a trained equine specialist to engage in activities with horses. These activities may include grooming, feeding, leading, and riding horses, as well as participating in ground exercises and obstacle courses.
The presence of horses in therapy sessions can help clients build selfawareness, regulate emotions, improve communication skills, and develop trust and confidence. Horses are known for their ability to mirror human emotions and provide immediate feedback, allowing clients to gain insight into their behaviors and thought patterns.
Overall, equine assisted counseling can be a powerful and transformative approach to therapy that can help individuals develop new coping skills, increase self-esteem, and make positive changes in their lives.
